My laboratory's goal is to define the genetic and genomic basis of complex biological processes in mammals as a way to better understand and treat human disease. We utilize a combination of developmental genetics, state-of the-art molecular biological and advanced neuroanatomical techniques to discover genetic signatures that correlate with the experimental paradigms of our collaborators. Recent work has focused on the genomics of neuronal plasticity and is highlighted by our on-going effort to determine gene expression differences in spinal motoneurons after H-reflex conditioning.
